Research Projects

Currently, my main research projects are: (1) the work on the media and information literacy of UNESCO, representing the information skills input.  In the second phase, the indicators survey will be tested in some pilot countries.  (2) I also coordinate an international research project to assess the demand and information skills of faculty at sample universities in four countries.  The two projects are carried out on behalf of IFLA with UNESCO funding and with the participation of country contacts and regional coordinators (www.infolitglobal.info) who promote the uploading of records in their countries/regions.  I also coordinate the compilation of a world state-of-the-art report on information literacy; and the creation of an open access database on information literacy resources.  A book on how to create an information literacy undergraduate credit course is also in process.
